History of Action Oriented Youth of Liberia, Inc. (AOYL)
Who We Are
Founded: July 12, 2017
Mission: To empower and support the youth of Liberia through education, skill development, and community engagement.
Status: USA-registered 501(c)(3) Liberia-based non-profit organization.
Origins and Vision: Action Oriented Youth of Liberia, Inc. (AOYL) was founded in response to the critical need for youth empowerment and skill development in Liberia. Following the country’s prolonged civil conflict and economic instability, Liberia’s youth faced significant challenges, including high unemployment rates, limited access to quality education, and a lack of opportunities for personal and professional growth. Recognizing these pressing issues, Wonsehlea Teah, our founder and Executive Director, envisioned an organization dedicated to providing young Liberians with the tools and resources necessary to overcome these obstacles and build brighter futures.
